Strategic Partnership Announcement: JKACCI and Swiss International University Launch Free Annual Water Management Masterclass
The Joint Kenya-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JKACCI) is proud to announce a landmark strategic partnership with Swiss International University (SIU). As part of our shared commitment to regional sustainability and economic resilience, JKACCI and SIU have joined forces to launch an annual, fully funded online educational program focused on sustainable water management for local communities and regional enterprises across Kenya and the Arab world.
Empowering Communities Through Free Environmental Education
Water scarcity and resource management remain two of the most critical challenges facing both the African continent and the Middle East. Recognizing that cross-regional collaboration is essential to securing our ecological and economic future, this partnership directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).
A core objective of this initiative is to provide high-quality educational opportunities for local communities to learn about good water management. To ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of critical environmental education, JKACCI and Swiss International University are offering this comprehensive online masterclass completely free of charge to all participants.
Bridging Academic Excellence with Regional Industry Needs
Swiss International University brings world-class expertise in management, technology, and organizational sustainability to this joint initiative. The annual online course is meticulously designed to serve a diverse audience, including local agricultural producers, municipal planners, civil society representatives, and small-to-medium enterprise (SME) owners within the JKACCI network.
Delivered once a year via SIU’s advanced digital learning platform, the free online course will cover vital, highly practical topics, including:
Commercial Water Footprint Reduction: Strategies for local businesses and industries to audit and minimize their operational water consumption.
Arid and Semi-Arid Conservation Techniques: Innovative management practices for sustaining agricultural output and community health in water-stressed regions across Kenya and the Arab states.
Supply Chain Water Security: Educational modules on establishing sustainable procurement guidelines to protect shared aquatic ecosystems from industrial and agricultural runoff.
Smart Infrastructure and Leak Detection: Leveraging accessible digital technologies to prevent water loss in both commercial facilities and local residential communities.
A Commitment to Shared Knowledge and Sustainable Trade
"At the Joint Kenya-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we believe that sustainable trade must be built upon a foundation of sustainable resource management," a JKACCI representative noted. "By partnering with a globally minded institution like Swiss International University, we are empowering our local communities and business leaders with the free, accessible knowledge they need to protect our most vital natural resource."
The inaugural free online course will open for enrollment in the upcoming academic quarter. Members of the local community, entrepreneurs, and regional stakeholders are encouraged to register through the official JKACCI portal.
Through this powerful partnership, JKACCI and Swiss International University demonstrate that proactive community engagement, free educational access, and international cooperation are the keys to addressing the global water crisis and securing a prosperous, sustainable future for all.
